The Leahy Center provides support for Faculty Research and development and research in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and related health care areas. There is a particular emphasis on support for projects that relate to health care issues for persons with disabilities, especially children, and that are related in some way to direct service. Awards are granted on an annual basis to individual faculty, faculty teams, and collaborative efforts with community partners in collaboration.
